You can, however, automate a setup up to the point where picking the right cards is required to automate at least part of it. A tap recorder cannot select specific cards for you, it will always pick the same card positions, so it only really works for setups that rely purely on NPs and don't require you to manually charge gauges with specific cards on turn 1 or 2. Keep in mind that aside from FGOlua, all of these options require a consistent 3T setup that does not rely on face card crits.
